Project: Sustainability in Action Program
Goal
Increase sustainability awareness and engagement in alignment with the company’s sustainability strategy & vision and inspire innovation for positive impact.
Flow
1-day Introduction to Sustainability workshop followed by 3-day field trip to Kamikatsu. Field trip included educational sessions on recycling and waste management, experiential activities such as waste sorting and dismantling, and visits / conversations with local entrepreneurs and residents. Follow-up workshop two weeks after the field trip to harvest learnings, identify innovation opportunities, and generate ideas for application to business. Japanese delivery.
Outcome
Significant increase in awareness of how sustainability links to real-world impact and the importance of circular, inclusive business models. Participants identified several tangible opportunities for business model innovation in the last workshop, and have now secured internal buy-in and started to work on how to implement them.
